“The most common motivator to participate in the CDS (Container Deposit Scheme) is the financial incentive, although 61% of people say they would be much more likely to use it if the rebate were increased from 10 to 20 cents per item. Another key
motivators were to benefit the environment, and because it’s the right thing to do. When asked about
barriers, 39% of people said there were none, and no other barriers were widely agreed upon. However,
accessibility is clearly still a factor, with the majority of people reporting being more likely to use the CDS if there were more drop-off locations or if there were kerbside collection (both 47%).”

Our recycling program aims to enforce a strong incentive, provide house bins for collecting specific material such as cans and bottles. Also, will provide proof of the items actually being recycled to our participants and build trust with the community.

The below is a survey result conducted by Cleanaway to better understand recycling behaviours in Australia.

OUR SOLUTION TO HELP AUSTRALIANS DO THE RIGHT THING

Our Recycle for raffle program aims to do the following:

  • Create a stronger incentive for Australians.
  • Provides bins for specific recyclable materials to avoid decontamination when processed in recycled plants.
  • Offer free pickup service to decrease obstacles for Australians to do the right thing.
  • To build trust in the community that the materials are being recycled by notifying our participants.
